Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 May 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PigeonReader (the "Service"), operated by Panevio, MB, company code 307646980 ("Company", "we", "us"). By registering an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
PigeonReader is a software-as-a-service platform that lets you import, organise, and deliver reading content — articles, newsletters, and web pages — to Kindle devices and other email addresses. The Service includes a web application, a Firefox browser extension, an iOS mobile application (available on the Apple App Store), and an Android mobile application.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Account Registration and Security
You must provide accurate and current registration information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at info@panevio.com if you suspect any unauthorised access.
4. Acceptable Use
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable law.
- Do not upload, import, or share content that infringes third-party intellectual property, copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
- Do not make articles or magazines publicly visible unless you hold the necessary rights to distribute that content publicly.
- Do not upload profile photos or other images containing illegal content or violating third-party rights.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or related systems.
- Do not use automated tools to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service.
- Do not upload or process malware, illegal content, or content you are not permitted to use.
- Do not use the Service to send unsolicited commercial communications (spam).
5. Fair Use Policy
PigeonReader is designed for personal, non-commercial use. To ensure a fair experience for all users, the following fair use principles apply:
- Personal use only: The Service is intended for your own reading and content management. You may not use it for commercial mass content processing, resale, or to provide services to third parties.
- Usage limits: The Service applies usage quotas. Usage-based paid limits such as new article imports, content sends, magazines, audio overviews, AI text actions, and AI image generation are calculated per calendar month. You must not attempt to circumvent, bypass, or manipulate these limits through technical means or by creating multiple accounts.
- No automated scraping: Automated, scripted, or bot-driven mass importing of content is not permitted.
- No account sharing: Your account is for your personal use only. You may not share your credentials or grant access to third parties.
- Respect for service resources: You must not use the Service in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure or degrades the experience for other users.
Paid subscription tiers offer higher limits for users with greater needs. Persistent fair use violations may result in limit enforcement, suspension, or account termination as described in Section 8.
6. User Content and Legal Responsibility
You retain full ownership of all content you submit. By submitting content you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process and store it solely to provide the Service. We do not use your content for any other purpose.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that all content you import, upload, create, or share — including articles, text, cover images, profile photos, and any other materials — is lawful and does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights. This applies to content imported from third-party websites, content you edit or annotate, and content you make publicly visible.
When you make articles or magazines publicly visible, you confirm that you hold the necessary rights to distribute that content publicly. PigeonReader is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of content imported from third-party websites or otherwise submitted by you.
7. AI-Generated and AI-Processed Content
The Service uses AI tools to assist with article formatting, title generation, cover image creation, and audio overview generation. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated and AI-processed content may contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or otherwise low-quality output. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-assisted result.
- Panevio, MB is not liable for any damages arising from reliance on AI-processed content, AI-generated article formatting, AI-generated cover images, or AI-generated audio.
- AI-generated images are created algorithmically and may not always accurately represent the underlying content. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content before using or sharing it.
- AI features are provided as a convenience tool. Always verify important information from original sources.
8. Content Moderation, Abuse System, and Reporting
We continuously review the Service for content that may violate these Terms or applicable law. We reserve the right to remove or restrict access to any content that, in our reasonable judgment, violates these Terms, applicable law, or may harm other users.
If you encounter any content on the Service that you believe is inappropriate, illegal, or in violation of these Terms, you must report it using the Contact form on our website. We will investigate all reports in good faith and take appropriate action.
When we identify a violation of these Terms, we apply a graduated enforcement approach:
- Warning: For minor or first-time violations, we may notify you by email and request that you correct the behaviour.
- Content removal or feature restriction: We may remove violating content or temporarily restrict access to specific features without prior notice.
- Temporary account suspension: For repeated or more serious violations, your account may be suspended for a defined period.
- Permanent account termination: For severe, repeated, or irreversible violations — including illegal activity, copyright infringement, or abuse of the Service infrastructure — your account may be permanently closed and access permanently denied.
We reserve the right to skip earlier steps and proceed directly to suspension or termination where the severity of the violation warrants it. If you believe your account has been suspended or terminated in error, you may appeal by contacting us at info@panevio.com.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services (including Amazon Kindle and AI providers) to deliver core functionality. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not liable for the availability or conduct of third-party services.
Users of the iOS application are also subject to Apple's App Store terms of service. Users of the Android application are subject to Google Play terms of service.
10. Intellectual Property
All elements of the Service not provided by users — including software, design, trademarks, and documentation — are the property of Panevio, MB or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
11. Subscriptions and Payments
Certain features may require a paid subscription. Fees, billing cycles, and refund terms are described at the point of purchase and may be updated with reasonable notice. You are responsible for all applicable taxes.
12. Availability and Modifications
We strive to maintain continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features — including free-tier limits — at any time with reasonable notice when practical.
13. Account Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. Account deletion results in permanent removal of your data within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without prior notice, in the following circumstances:
- Material breach of these Terms.
- Illegal activity or illegal content.
- Repeated copyright infringement or content rights violations.
- Abuse of the Service infrastructure (e.g. automated scraping, circumventing usage limits, creating multiple accounts to bypass restrictions).
- Actions that harm or threaten other users or the integrity of the Service.
- Non-payment of subscription fees where applicable.
In cases of temporary suspension, we will notify you by email where practicable. For serious or ongoing harm, we may act immediately without prior notification. You may appeal a suspension or termination by emailing info@panevio.com.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Panevio, MB and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Republic of Lithuania, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
