Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Click Create account on the login page, enter your email and password. You will receive a verification email — follow the link to activate your account.

How do I reset a forgotten password?

Click Reset password on the login page, enter your email address, and you will receive a password reset link by email.

Importing Articles

How do I import an article from a URL?

In the New Article form, paste a URL and click Import. The system automatically fetches and parses the article content from the webpage.

How do I add content manually?

Switch to the Editor tab and type or paste text in Markdown format. Ideal for long texts, newsletters, or personal notes.

How do I use the Firefox extension?

After installing the PigeonReader Reader Import extension, open Firefox Reader View on any article page and click the extension icon — the article is instantly imported into your library.

How do I use the iOS app?

The PigeonReader iOS app lets you share any URL from Safari or other apps via the iOS Share menu. The article appears in your library immediately.

What is the Email-to-Article inbox?

Every account has a unique personal email address. Any email sent to it is automatically saved as an article — the subject becomes the title. Find and manage it in Settings → Recipients.

AI Tools

How do I generate a title with AI?

In the import or edit form, click the AI button next to the title field. The AI will suggest a title based on the article content.

How do I format an article with AI?

In the editor, use Format article — the AI cleans up Markdown structure, headings, lists, and obvious language issues without adding new facts.

How do I generate a cover image?

In the article form, click the image generation button. AI creates a cover illustration based on the article topic. You can also add an image manually by URL.

What is the audio overview?

An AI-generated ~2-minute audio summary of the article content. Play it directly from the article menu in your library. The number of audio overviews available depends on your plan.

Reading in the App

How do I read an article in the app?

In your library, click an article title to open the built-in reader for comfortable on-screen reading with pagination.

Can I customize the reader appearance?

Yes. Click the settings icon in the reader toolbar to adjust font size, line spacing, margins, font face, and theme (light / dark / sepia).

Magazines

What are magazines?

Magazines let you group multiple articles into a single EPUB collection to send in one go. Perfect for weekly digests or themed reading bundles.

How do I create a magazine?

Go to My Magazines and click Create magazine. Give it a name, then add articles from your library — or assign an article to a magazine during import.

How do I send a magazine to Kindle?

Open the magazine menu and select Send. Choose a recipient — the entire magazine is delivered as one EPUB file.

Sending to Kindle & Email

How do I send an article to Kindle?

In the article menu in your library, select Send, choose your Kindle address, and confirm. The article is converted to EPUB and delivered.

How do I set up Kindle to accept deliveries?

Kindle only accepts mail from approved senders. In your Amazon account under Manage My Kindle → Personal Document Settings, add delivery@pigeonreader.com to the approved email list.

How do I add a delivery recipient?

Go to Settings → Recipients, enter an email address, and click Add recipient. Non-Kindle addresses require PIN confirmation sent by email (valid for 1 hour).

How many articles can I send per month?

Limits depend on your plan. Check your current usage and remaining quota in Settings → Account.

Sharing Articles

How do I share an article with others?

Open the article menu and select Share. You can enable a public link or send the link by email to a specific person.

Is a shared article visible to everyone on the internet?

No — only to people with the direct link. It is not listed in any public directory. You can disable sharing at any time.

Settings & Account

How do I change the interface language or theme?

Go to Settings → Appearance and choose your preferred language and theme (light / dark).

How do I change my password?

Go to Settings → Security, enter your current password and the new one.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Danger zone and click Delete account. This is permanent — all your articles, magazines, and account data will be deleted.
